What sort of poems would I most need?

Aha, an interesting question indeed.

Ones which uplift, encourage, inspire?

Ones perfectly crafted, or ones which are dire?

Ones about nature, the world all around,

Where colours and glorious images abound.

Ones about hardship, blackness and sorrow,

Solitude, suffering, no hope for the morrow,

Or perhaps some full of joy, bringing gladness of heart,

Which happiness, hopefulness and peace can impart.

And some rhyming slang and some twisted prose,

And which are simply words strung into rows.

Perhaps some about death and some about life

And some about cheer and some about strife.

And some which are cheeky, which might raise a brow,

And some deadly serious and some which just wow.

And some in neat couplets and some jumbled text,

And some where you never know what might come next.

Maybe some full of meaning with deep, hidden thoughts

And some quite nonsensical with no structure of sorts.

But maybe the kind that I need most of all

Are those with no obvious aim to enthral

Mirroring life, which most of the time

Has seemingly no real sense of reason or rhyme.
